We are really worried that the ordinary countryside we all know and love won’t be protected under the Government's planning reforms.

Our research shows the valuable role previously developed land plays in protecting England’s green fields and we think it makes sense to use this land before green fields are built on.

Help us keep up the pressure on the Government over Christmas and into 2012 as Ministers consider final changes to the National Planning Policy Framework.

Ask your MP to write to the Planning Minister, Greg Clark, to tell him that the countryside is worth protecting for its own sake, and that building on previously developed land first should be a priority.
