Objectives

    • to preserve the quality of life that Leckhampton residents and visitors have enjoyed
    • to protect the best and most accessible countryside, especially in Cheltenham
    • to influence the planning process through a non-party political group which represented the views of a large number of local people
    • to promote good planning principles both locally and nationally
    • to influence land management
    • to prevent derelict land 
    • to ensure that traffic is managed
    • to preserve and promote the use of local footpaths and walks as a valuable recreational resource
    • to keep records of sitings of wildlife and publish them from time to time
    • to preserve physical links with the past and support the Leckhampton Local History Society
    • to expand our membership and represent a significant number of residents in Cheltenham
    • to listen to and keep in touch with our members
